Claude Galipeau is an innovative leader and senior executive in traditional and new media.
He is Vice President, Interactive Media, Astral Media Inc., responsible for the digital strategy of Astral's three business lines: radio, TV, and outdoor display advertising.
Prior to joining Astral, Claude led Digital Media at Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. where he played a defining role in developing the interactive strategy for one of North America’s largest players in the area of cable broadcasting, television production and motion picture distribution. Prior to his work at Alliance Atlantis, Claude was head of digital programming for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and head of new media at Salter Street Films.
Claude’s accomplishments include launching Canada’s first live video blogging service (BlogTV.ca); developing and launching multiple broadband channels for Alliance Atlantis; executive producing mobile content for the CSI franchise; developing and leading path breaking multiplatform Olympics coverage for the CBC; and operating Canada’s premier web destination for news and information and debate, CBC.ca.
