Ryan is a public relations and web strategist with a passion for interactive and emerging media.  As Director of Communications for Fuel Industries, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for activating client brands through social media, online PR and other new media channels.

An avid blogger, Ryan has written and researched extensively on the subject of social media as it relates to the practice of public relations, and the role of the PR professional in the changing media landscape. His success in this area and personal passion for research into new media public relations has encouraged Fuel to devote itself to developing social media as a core component of its strategic offerings.

Over the course of his career, Ryan has worked as a PR consultant, graphic designer, web designer and as marketing director for a national charitable arts organization.  He is a frequent lecturer on new media and advertising at the business schools of Carleton University and University of Ottawa, and recently presented a workshop on branded entertainment in Singapore.  He writes at http://www.ryananderson.ca.
